About Dr. Cicely Alexander

Dr. Cicely Alexander’s educational journey has been far more than a job or even a career choice. It has been a calling that she strives to complete, with conviction. Throughout her 26-year career span in Lubbock ISD, Dr. Alexander has been a classroom teacher, math specialist, behavior counselor, assistant principal, principal, and now a principal supervisor. She has been a guest lecturer at Texas Tech University, 2011 TEPSA Region 17 Assistant Principal of the Year Nominee, and 2019 TEPSA Region 17 National Distinguished Principal of the Year Nominee. Of all the accomplishments earned, she is most proud that she and her team turned around a four-year, F, Improvement Required campus, earning a B rating, in just two years! Dr. Alexander truly resonates with the quote by Forest Witcraft, “...of all that one has accomplished in life, what is most important is the impact one has made in the life of a child.”

Dr. Alexander wears many hats and one she holds dear is First Lady of Holy Temple Church, in Levelland, Texas, where she works, alongside her husband in full-time ministry. She is most proud of her beloved family. She and her husband, Dr. Ben Alexander, of 26 years have three beautiful children: Benjamin Ashton (22), a senior at Harvard; Adyson Grace (20), a junior at an HBCU, Xavier University of Louisiana and Benjamin Harrison (14), a 9th grader in Lubbock ISD schools. Regardless of the hat that Cicely wears, she trusts that the Holy Spirit is guiding her to direct her path and strives to live a life of servitude, seizing and savoring every beautiful experience, one day at a time.
