Equity starts with dialogue - conversations where every party is heard and together we can use our human ingenuity to create solutions.
Our Board Chair Jon Stephens and our Community Impact Chair Kevin McConic sat down last week to begin a dialogue that will continue in an open forum at next week's board meeting and beyond to deepen United Way's commitment to creating equitable circumstances on the South Plains.
This dialogue is not perfect. We don't get everything right, but we believe dialogue opens the door and pushes us forward to not just doing good, but doing our best.
