Volunteers to be honored at Lubbock Area United Way annual meeting on Jan. 31

Lubbock Area United Way will honor volunteers at its annual meeting on Thursday, January 31st, 11:30 AM at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Banquet Hall.

Norval Pollard will be presented with the Rita Harmon Volunteer Service Award in recognition of a lifetime of community service. In addition, Kelsey Tubb will be presented the award for the Campaign Volunteer of the Year, and Greg Freeman will receive the award for Agency Volunteer of the Year. Outgoing United Way directors and officers will be recognized, and United Way will announce new directors and leadership for the organization for 2019.

Cost of the luncheon is $30 per person or $240 for a table of eight. The meeting is open to the public, but seating is limited. The reservation deadline is January 25th, and tickets can be purchased by emailing events@unitedway-lubbock.org, or calling (806) 747-2711.
