Lubbock Area United Way is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Loaned Executive Program. Since 1968, generous local businesses have been "loaning" their most talented and emerging leaders to help run the Annual Campaign. Over the past 50 years, thousands of volunteers have been an important part of ensuring the success of the United Way Campaign. These volunteers are responsible for millions of dollars put back into the Lubbock Area to serve the most vulnerable in our communities.

Vice President Amy Berry said, “We are so grateful to have had so many companies and volunteers participate in this program over the past five decades. These men and women have given so much of their time and talents to the Lubbock community and to United Way and many continue to volunteer with us today.”

Lubbock Area United Way is searching for former Loaned Executives who have lost contact with United Way. If you served as a Loaned Executive, United Way requests your help to get in touch with you and your fellow Loaned Executive alums.

Loaned Executive Alumni can update their contact information and RSVP for the 50th Anniversary Celebration on October 3rd online at www.liveunitedlubbock.org/loanedexecutive50 or by calling the United Way office at 806.747.2711.

Lubbock Area United Way funds programs at 23 local Community Partner Agencies. These programs work daily to assist people in Lubbock and surrounding communities with needs such as affordable quality child care, parenting education, crisis situations, adult literacy, job training, and youth mentoring.
