Lubbock Area United Way names 2018 campaign leaders

Doug Hensley, chairman of Lubbock Area United Way’s 2018 Campaign, has announced a leadership team to head this year’s divisions.

The leaders, tapped from a variety of Lubbock area businesses and organizations, will play a role in helping the Lubbock Area United Way in reaching its goals in the 2018 campaign.

“We have a lot of work in front of us in raising funds to support the vital work done by Lubbock Area United Way partner agencies, and I’m glad to be surrounded by so many people committed to giving back to their community,” Hensley said. “We are fortunate to live in Lubbock for many reasons, not the least of which is the abundance of people determined to make a difference through volunteerism.”

The divisions and leaders include:

Professional: Andrew Curtis of Craig Terrill Hale & Grantham.

Live United Golf Tournament: Amber and Rob Dean, City Bank.

Corporate: Shannon Elrod, United Supermarkets.

Marketing: Meredith Imes, Texas Tech.

Special Gifts: Kelley Lewis and Bill Tarro, Lubbock Independent School District.
 

Leadership Giving: AJ Martinez, Robinson Martin & Seright.

State Employee Charitable Campaign: Darcy Pollock, Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.

Local Government: Kathy Rollo, Lubbock Independent School District.

Loaned Executive: Kelsey Tubb, City Bank.

The Campaign Kick-Off Luncheon has been scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 23 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

The 2018 Campaign will conclude with a luncheon on Nov. 27.
