LEAD United

LEAD United

By Devin McCain, Vice President of Community ImpactLEAD United

Throughout our history of serving the South Plains, several things have remained constant: our ability to raise funds to address issues in our community, intentionality in our mission of Giving ∙ People ∙ Hope, and strong partnerships with some of the best nonprofits around.

Being a United Way Community Partner is about so much more than funding given and received. It’s about our desire to work towards common goals with thoughtful collaboration, strategic planning, high levels of accountability, on ongoing support.

To further this work, we were able to launch our LEAD United program in fall 2021. This program is intended to provide ongoing education and support for United Way Community Partners around nonprofit best practices and leadership. The program is intended to help create strong, sustainable agencies while simultaneously strengthening the relationship between Lubbock Area United Way and the entities we serve.

Our hope is to ensure our partner agencies are the absolute best they can be. So much has changed in our world over the past few years and the need for sustainable, life-changing programs is greater than ever before. By investing in our partners, we are helping them grow so they can do what they do best – change lives. And by changing lives, they’re strengthening our community for years to come.
