Community Planning Council

Our Program Review volunteers are finishing up their reviews of our Community Partners this month. Before our annual Program Review, there was the Community Planning Council. The council started in 1953 with the goal of ensuring individuals in the Lubbock area received the best quality services. Many of our current partners and other local nonprofits were started because the council identified a need, researched, and developed a plan to meet that need.

Former Lubbock Mayor Alan Henry, Joy Loper with Upbring, and John Zwiacher with Scoggin Dickey shared a little about their experiences with the Community Planning Council.
