The Children's Advocacy Center of the South Plains brings together community resources to speed the healing to child victims of abuse and trauma. CAC collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team in the investigation of specific child abuse cases while also providing case reviews, free therapy, family advocacy, court room preparation/accompaniment, and raising community education/awareness of the problem of child sexual abuse.

The Children's Advocacy Center serves:

  • Child victims of physical abuse

  • Child victims of sexual abuse

  • Non-offending family members

The Children's Advocacy Center provides:

  • Interview rooms where interviews will be conducted and videotaped

  • Coordination of medical evaluations

  • Coordination of weekly case reviews and support of partner agencies in their investigations

  • A resource library for children, parents and professionals

  • An emergency supply room for children removed or at risk of removal from their homes

  • An on-site mental health professional to provide counseling services

  • Rural interviews conducted across the South Plains

  • On-going victim support and advocacy
