Volunteers Join 2018 United Way Campaign Cabinet

Lubbock Area United Way Campaign Chair Doug Hensley has announced the leadership team for the 2018 Annual Campaign. Hensley and 12 Vice-Chairs will work together to recruit the more than 400 other volunteers needed to assist in the community-wide fundraising effort. Last year donors gave more than $6.1 million to support United Way funded programs. 

“This is a talented group of leaders who understand the mission of Lubbock Area United Way and how much it means to our community,” Hensley shared. “I am thrilled about the opportunity to work with this amazing leadership team in the annual campaign.”

The 2018 Campaign Vice Chairs and their respective divisions are as follows:

Professional: Andrew Curtis, Craig Terrill Hale & Grantham
LIVE UNITED Golf Tournament: Amber and Rob Dean, City Bank
Corporate: Shannon Elrod, United Supermarkets
Marketing: Meredith Imes, Texas Tech University
Special Gifts: Kelley Lewis and Bill Tarro, Lubbock ISD
Leadership Giving: AJ Martinez, Robinson Burdette Martin & Seright
State Employee Charitable Campaign: Darcy Pollock, TTU Health Sciences Center
Local Government: Kathy Rollo, Lubbock ISD
Loaned Executive: Kelsey Tubb, City Bank

“We have a lot of work in front of us in raising funds to support the vital work done by Lubbock Area United Way partner agencies, and I’m glad to be surrounded by so many people committed to giving back to their community. We are fortunate to live in Lubbock for many reasons, not the least of which is the abundance of people determined to make a difference through volunteerism,” said Hensley

The 2018 Annual Campaign will officially launch at the Campaign Kick-Off Luncheon on August 23, 11:30 AM, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. The Campaign goal will be announced at that event.  The Annual Campaign will conclude at a luncheon on November 27th.
