The Lubbock Area United Way has commissioned its lieutenants in the Loaned Executive Division for Campaign 2018, a mobilization designed to raise funds for its partner agencies in a concerted effort.

“The Loaned Executives play a huge part in the campaign in being able to work with the workplaces to help them raise funds for United Way,” said Kelsey Tubb, who heads this year’s Loaned Executive operation.

According to Tubb, the executives are, as the name suggests, loaned by employers to serve as a primary contact and resource for other companies that are conducting their individual campaigns for United Way.

It takes intensive training, which is combined with a day-and-a-half retreat in Ruidoso, New Mexico. That took place a couple of weeks ago, and now the executives are set to roll.

“I think we have an enthusiastic group of volunteers who are eager to get out there and raise funds and hopefully raise more funds than we ever have,” Tubb said.

The amount of time each executive contributes varies:

“Each person is assigned a workplace campaign to help. Some of those have one meeting, and some have 20 meetings,” Tubb said.

In addition to Kelsey Tubb as chair, who is loaned by City Bank, and Matt Ernst of Fox 34/Ramar Communications, who is serving as vice chair, the list includes the following as this year’s executives:
