Loaned Executives

Individuals are recruited each year from corporations and small businesses. Businesses "loan" their representatives to United Way on a part-time basis during the fall to assist other businesses with their United Way employee campaigns. They participate in team building and training programs during the summer in preparation for the campaign.

The Loaned Executive Program benefits an organization by providing opportunities for individuals to meet people from every area of the community. They have the opportunity to develop relationships through the United Way campaign organization and within the companies they work with during the campaign. These contacts can be of great benefit to an organization in their business.

The first Loaned Executive Class in 1968 consisted of eight loaned executives who raised $80,264 for the Lubbock Area United Way. The Loaned Executive Class of 2007 consisted of 43 loaned executives, account executives and team leaders who collectively raised more than $2.5 million.

2010 Class of Loaned Executives kicks off their year with a Lunch and Launch Event at the Scottish Rite. Agency representatives from fourteen United Way partner agencies joined the Loaned Executives for an agency fair in the afternoon.

The next Loaned Executive event will be the Day of Caring / Pass it on day on June 18th.
